I watched their performances, September 23 @Usmar Ismail Hall

Long before the Harlem shake, swing dancing and even the waltz, there was Renaissance-style dance music. (Yes, Renaissance, and I guess you guys know Harlem Shake so well than Renaissance🤔)
Learn about the music behind the dance, and how dance influenced the future of music. Renaissance dances belong to the broad group of historical dances.
Ah, don't deny it, you know you love to dance (and me too)! 🙄 Even if you're not a great dancer, when you hear that sweet beat thumpin', it's hard to stay still.
The groove-worthy pairing of music and dance has been around forever, and aside from making one feel happy, it had significant social purpose during the Renaissance period. Like dancing today, dance in the Renaissance period was often done for entertainment. However, it was also considered a social expectation. Royal court stewards were constantly dancing to prove their worth. In fact, to be taken seriously as a cultivated person, you were expected to have great dance skills. Dancing was often done in pairs, and as such, it was a natural component of courtship. So, it was important to dance properly if one didn't want to be single forever.
I was in a mood to love Le Rossignol. I watched their performances two month ago, 23 September 2017 in Usmar Ismail Hall Jakarta. *Btw, it's wonderful to watching this concert with your sweetheart❤🌿*

Maybe you will think, what makes their performance looks different? Too classic, eh? Well of course, the performances of La Rossignol makes the audience attention. La Rossignol is not only concerned with renaissance music but renaissance dance as well. They perform in costume and strive for authenticity in dress, movement, and sound.
There’s a ragged quality to their playing that (to my ears) sounds perfectly convincing. This isn’t art music they’re performing — just tunes for an evening’s entertainment. The performances are loose but full of energy. It’s the kind of sound I like to think would get a 16th Century crowd out on the dance floor.
If you enjoy early music or just wonder about Reinaissance Dance, I recommend to watching their concert or video.
